Germany Issues Travel Warning Over Violence in Minneapolis

Foreign governments are now telling citizens to avoid American cities as immigration protests spiral out of control.

The world is watching, and not in a good way. Germany has just issued an updated travel advisory warning its citizens to avoid Minneapolis and other major U.S. cities due to violent clashes with immigration authorities and a spiraling political climate.

While winter storms and airport delays were the initial concerns, the German Foreign Federal Office made it clear that America’s internal unrest is becoming a global concern. The advisory now includes a direct reference to "demonstrations/clashes with the migration and security authorities," specifically citing Minneapolis a city that has become a flashpoint of far-left resistance to immigration enforcement.

The advisory warns German travelers:

  • Stay away from crowds and demonstrations, particularly in Minneapolis.

  • Monitor local media for updates on violence or unrest.

  • Remain calm and follow the instructions of U.S. authorities if caught in civil disturbances.

The trigger? Ongoing protests in the Twin Cities following fatal shootings involving federal agents. Demonstrations have turned violent, with widespread arrests, vandalism, and clashes between law enforcement and radical agitators. These aren’t peaceful protests they're coordinated outbursts from activist groups fueled by anti-border rhetoric and bolstered by sympathetic local officials who have a history of defying federal law.

President Trump addressed the recent chaos during an appearance on The Will Cain Show, responding to the tragic deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, both shot during confrontations with federal agents.

"It was terrible. Both of them were terrible," Trump said. "I hate to see it. I hate to see that."

Still, the president stood firm, reiterating that the reassignment of Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino out of Minnesota was not a "pullback" from enforcement but rather a strategic adjustment. Trump made clear that his administration will not be deterred by protests or foreign criticism when it comes to enforcing U.S. immigration law.

Let’s not forget how we got here:

  • Minneapolis has long been ground zero for sanctuary-style policies, with Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz consistently undermining ICE and DHS operations.

  • Organized protests, often backed by leftist funding networks, have turned routine enforcement into public showdowns.

  • Federal agents are now targets, both physically and politically, for doing the job voters elected this administration to do protect American communities from illegal immigration and lawlessness.

Meanwhile, the same German government that warns its citizens to avoid Minneapolis still has its own “Level 2” travel advisory from the U.S. State Department. That’s due to an ongoing risk of terror attacks in Germany, particularly in public places like shopping malls, restaurants, and tourist areas. U.S. travelers are advised to exercise “increased caution” due to threats from radical Islamic extremism a reality Europe has yet to fully confront.

The irony isn’t lost here: while German citizens are told to steer clear of violent U.S. cities, Americans are being warned about attacks in the very countries issuing those advisories.

This isn't about politics anymore it's about the safety and sovereignty of the United States.

What we’re seeing is the real-world result of years of coddling radical activists, undermining federal agents, and putting criminal aliens above law-abiding citizens. Now the world is watching as American cities like Minneapolis descend into violent disorder over basic immigration enforcement.

And still, the Biden administration remains silent.
