Florida Launches Criminal Investigation Into Andrew and Tristan Tate

Attorney General vows to use full force of law against controversial figures.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced Tuesday that the state has officially launched a criminal investigation into Andrew and Tristan Tate, just days after the controversial brothers arrived in Florida following their departure from Romania.

“These guys have themselves publicly admitted to participating in what very much appears to be soliciting, trafficking, preying upon women around the world, many of these victims coming forward, some of them minors,” Uthmeier stated. “In Florida, this type of behavior is viewed as atrocious. We’re not going to accept it.”

  • The Tates had previously been under legal restrictions in Romania but were allowed to leave after an indictment.

  • Florida officials have already secured and executed subpoenas and search warrants as part of the probe.

  • Uthmeier made it clear that the state will use “every tool” within its authority to hold the brothers accountable.

The investigation escalated following a review of evidence by the Office of Statewide Prosecution, leading to the immediate execution of legal actions against the Tates.

The Tate brothers have long been a source of controversy, with allegations of exploitation and illicit activities following them across multiple countries. While their defenders claim they are victims of a global smear campaign, authorities in Florida appear determined to take decisive legal action.

With an active criminal investigation now underway, the Tates' arrival in Florida may have placed them directly in the crosshairs of a legal system that isn’t looking to back down.
