America’s Adversaries Deliberately Smuggle Fentanyl to Harm U.S. Citizens

Kristi Noem warns that foreign adversaries are using fentanyl as a weapon against the U.S.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem didn’t mince words in a recent interview when she sounded the alarm on the fentanyl crisis, warning that America’s enemies are deliberately using the deadly drug to kill Americans. Speaking on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Noem highlighted how cartels working hand-in-hand with Chinese operatives are fueling the crisis to destroy American lives.

“This isn’t just about money,” Noem stated. “They’re bringing fentanyl into this country to kill Americans.”

And she’s right. The numbers don’t lie:

  • Over 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses in 2022, with fentanyl responsible for nearly 70% of those deaths.

  • China remains the primary source of precursor chemicals used by Mexican cartels to manufacture fentanyl.

  • Since Joe Biden took office, seizures of fentanyl at the southern border have skyrocketed, but that only hints at the enormous quantities slipping through undetected.

Noem also pointed out that President Donald Trump’s trade policies with Canada and Mexico weren’t just about economics they were about shutting down the fentanyl pipeline. Unlike the current administration, which has done little to curb the crisis, Trump understood the threat and acted decisively.

Biden, on the other hand, has opened the floodgates. His refusal to secure the border and take on China’s role in this crisis has made America weaker and more vulnerable. Meanwhile, the left continues to push for open-border policies, despite the fact that fentanyl is now the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45.

The fentanyl crisis is not just a policy failure it’s an act of war. It’s time to take this seriously. The question is: Will Biden do anything about it, or will he continue to let America’s enemies wage chemical warfare on our people? Subscribe to our newsletter for more updates.
