FBI Investigates New York Attorney General Letitia James
After years of politically targeting Trump, Letitia James is now facing a federal investigation over allegedly falsified mortgage documents and real estate fraud.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, long celebrated by the Left for her relentless legal attacks on Donald Trump, is now under formal federal criminal investigation by the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office in Albany. The probe centers on alleged fraud involving real estate and mortgage documents and the details are explosive.
According to a referral from William J. Pulte, director of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency, James may have falsified bank documents, misrepresented property records, and lied about her residence status to secure favorable government-backed loans. If true, it’s not just unethical it’s criminal.
Here’s what’s being alleged:
James may have claimed a Norfolk, Virginia property as her “primary residence” in order to score a lower mortgage rate, despite previously telling a mortgage broker in writing that it would not be her primary home.
Primary residences qualify for lower interest rates and better loan terms than secondary residences, which could mean James knowingly gamed the system for personal benefit.
In a separate incident from 1983, James signed a notarized mortgage alongside her father for a Queens home, listed as his “wife” a false designation that experts say may have helped them qualify for better loan terms by inflating household income.
So much for integrity.
James’ legal team responded in typical fashion by crying “political retribution.” Her attorney, Abbe Lowell, claimed the investigation is retaliation from President Trump, calling the criminal referral “improper” and “baseless.” He also bizarrely argued that James’ father had filled out the documents incorrectly and that she had no involvement even though her signature appears under the false information.
“This so-called ‘Criminal Referral,’ which recycles long-disproven allegations lacks any credible foundation,” Lowell wrote.
That’s rich coming from the same camp that spent years hounding Trump with politically motivated lawsuits and laughably inflated fraud claims, culminating in a New York judge ordering Trump and his family to pay $454 million in penalties earlier this year based on no victim, no loss, and no crime.
Now, the spotlight has flipped and Letitia James is squirming.
Let’s not forget who Letitia James really is:
A career activist-turned-attorney general who ran for office on the promise to “get Trump” before ever investigating a single document.
The architect behind one of the most partisan lawfare campaigns in U.S. history one that conveniently aligned with Democrat efforts to derail Trump’s 2024 comeback.
And now, potentially, a fraudster herself.
This isn’t just about personal hypocrisy. It’s about the rot inside the institutions weaponized against conservatives. For years, Democrats have insisted that no one is above the law except, of course, when it’s them who get caught bending it.
Now, with the FBI and federal prosecutors actively probing her mortgage history and property dealings, James is facing a test she never expected: being held to her own standard.
And if justice is truly blind, she won’t like how it ends.
