FBI Confirms DNA Link Between Suspect and Weapon Used in Charlie Kirk Assassination
Kash Patel reveals solid forensic evidence connecting Tyler Robinson to politically motivated killing.

The FBI has confirmed what many already feared the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was not only deliberate, but backed by clear forensic evidence tying the weapon directly to the suspect in custody.
In a major update Monday morning, FBI Director Kash Patel announced on Fox & Friends that DNA found on the rifle and other evidence recovered at the scene matches that of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the man arrested for murdering Kirk during a campus event at Utah Valley University last week.
“The DNA hits from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody,” Patel stated.
This isn’t speculation. This is hard forensic proof. The towel, which investigators say was used to muffle sound or conceal the weapon, along with a screwdriver left behind on the university’s rooftop where Robinson reportedly fired the fatal shot were both matched to the suspect.
Robinson is seen in video surveillance footage sprinting across the roof moments after the single shot was fired, striking Kirk in the neck. The rifle was later discovered hidden in the woods near the university, accompanied by ammunition inscribed with anti-fascist slogans like “Hey fascist! Catch!”
And the evidence didn’t stop there.
Patel revealed that investigators have retrieved a text message Robinson sent, stating he “had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk” and intended to follow through because of his “hatred for what Charlie stood for.”
Despite this overwhelming mountain of evidence, Robinson has reportedly stopped cooperating with law enforcement. His confession initially made to his father and a family friend was what led to his peaceful surrender. But now, he's gone silent.
FBI Director Patel was careful not to editorialize about motive, but made it clear:
Robinson’s own family told investigators that he had become increasingly radicalized by left-wing ideology over the past two years.
The anti-fascist messaging found on the ammo, and the ideological statements in his texts, confirm this wasn’t random.
It was a targeted political assassination.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox has already announced that the death penalty will be pursued if Robinson is convicted a decision many see as not just appropriate, but essential to deter this kind of ideological violence.
Charlie Kirk was murdered for his beliefs. He was hunted down by someone radicalized by the very ideology that’s celebrated in progressive circles.
And yet, some Democrats and media figures have shown more concern over “tone” than over the reality that one of the most prominent conservative voices of our time was executed for exercising his First Amendment rights.
Even now, figures like Ilhan Omar have used Kirk’s death to push more political talking points, barely hiding their disdain for him, even as his family and supporters grieve.
The evidence is in. The motive is obvious. And the silence from the left speaks volumes.
Charlie Kirk stood for faith, family, freedom, and truth and for that, he was targeted. But if the goal of his assassin was to silence him, that mission has failed. The truth is louder now than ever.
