Erika Kirk Unanimously Elected CEO of Turning Point USA

Widow of Charlie Kirk steps in to carry forward his legacy and mission to save the country.

In a powerful and emotional transition of leadership, Erika Kirk was unanimously elected Thursday as the new CEO and Chair of the Board of Turning Point USA, taking the helm of the conservative youth organization founded by her late husband, Charlie Kirk.

The announcement came just weeks after Charlie’s assassination at a speaking event in Utah an attack that shook the conservative movement and left many wondering what would come next for the organization he built from the ground up.

Now, with Erika Kirk stepping into the role, the message is clear: Turning Point is not backing down.

“The Turning Point Board has unanimously elected Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board,” the group said in a statement posted to X. “In prior discussions, Charlie expressed to multiple executives that this is what he wanted in the event of his death.”

The letter, signed by Board members Doug DeGroote, Mike Miller, Tom Sodeika, and Dave Engelhardt, invoked the spirit of Scripture and the unshakable resolve of Erika and the TPUSA team.

“Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests. And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board.”

Charlie Kirk wasn’t just a founder he was a force. Over the past decade, he turned Turning Point USA into one of the most influential conservative organizations in the country, mobilizing young Americans, confronting leftist ideologies on college campuses, and defending traditional American values unapologetically.

But as the board made clear, Charlie planned for the future and trusted his wife Erika to lead in his absence.

In the immediate aftermath of Charlie’s assassination, Erika took to the stage with grace and clarity, vowing not to let his life’s work be in vain. Now, she’s doing far more than keeping the organization afloat she’s taking command.

“We will not surrender or kneel before evil. We will carry on,” the board wrote in its letter. “The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before.”

With over 400,000 student members nationwide, TPUSA’s reach is enormous. From college campuses to national political stages, the group has been instrumental in raising up a new generation of pro-life, pro-liberty, pro-God Americans despite relentless attacks from the media, academia, and the radical left.

Erika’s leadership promises continuity and conviction. Her deep faith, her commitment to family and country, and her firsthand understanding of what Turning Point stands for make her uniquely equipped to lead.

And the message couldn’t be more timely.

As America stands at a crossroads in 2025 with rising cultural chaos, a broken education system, and a generation of young people being fed Marxist garbage Turning Point’s mission has never been more critical.

“As Charlie always said, ‘We have a country to save,’” the board wrote.

Now, Erika Kirk is stepping forward to do just that.
