Erika Kirk Accepts Legacy Award Honoring Charlie Kirk’s Life and Mission
In an emotional moment, the new Turning Point USA CEO pledges to carry on her husband’s America First legacy without fear or apology.

At the 2025 Fox Nation Patriot Awards, a powerful moment of clarity broke through the grief. Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, accepted the inaugural Charlie Kirk Legacy Award, honoring the life and values of the man who redefined conservative youth activism in America.
Standing before a packed audience Thursday night in Brookville, New York, Erika didn’t deliver a eulogy she issued a challenge.
“Evil wins when good people stay silent,” she said. “So, for the rest of my life, I will make sure that I don’t stay silent. I’ll keep speaking the truth, no matter the cost.”
Charlie Kirk, assassinated on September 10th at Utah Valley University, left behind not only a wife and two young children but a national movement. He was just 31 years old. In the face of tragedy, Erika has refused to shrink back. In fact, she’s stepping into the fire, taking up her late husband’s mantle with unwavering resolve.
Turning Point USA announced that Erika was unanimously elected as CEO and Chair of the Board, declaring:
“It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side. And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point USA.”
Charlie founded TPUSA when he was just 18, determined to take conservative values to America’s college campuses ground zero in the culture war. From the very beginning, he spoke the truth without apology, regardless of who it upset. Erika quoted one of his favorite sayings:
“It’s not how I’m saying it that’s upsetting people. It’s the fact that I’m saying the truth that’s upsetting people.”
That unapologetic style won Charlie enemies on the left but inspired millions on the right. And now, Erika Kirk has vowed to finish what he started.
Her bold leadership was on full display just weeks after Charlie’s assassination, when she spoke to a packed house at the University of Mississippi. No fear. No bitterness. Just conviction.
Country star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Aldean, joined by Fox News host Jesse Watters, presented Erika with the award now a permanent fixture of the Patriot Awards. In an exclusive sit-down with Watters, Erika reflected on learning of Charlie’s death, the pain of loss, the upcoming trial, and the fight ahead.
“Charlie would always tell myself and others that America is worth fighting for, and it is, always will be,” she said. And she’s right.
At a time when political courage is rare and real leadership even rarer, Erika Kirk’s rise comes as a breath of fresh air and a battle cry. She’s not interested in sympathy. She’s here to lead.
Some facts worth remembering:
Charlie Kirk launched TPUSA in 2012, and it has since grown into the largest conservative student movement in the country.
His death is still under investigation, with a trial pending.
TPUSA under Erika’s leadership is doubling down on faith, family, and freedom, not backing away from controversy.
The 2025 Patriot Awards highlighted heroes from across the nation but no moment hit harder than Erika Kirk’s promise to never stay silent. And if the energy in that room was any indication, the fight for America First is just getting started.
