Eric Adams Claims Biden DOJ Targeted Him With “Lawfare,” Like Trump

In a striking admission that stunned political observers, outgoing New York City Mayor Eric Adams accused President Joe Biden’s Justice Department of waging politically motivated “lawfare” comparing his own treatment to that of President Donald Trump.

During a Monday appearance on Fox News’ The Story, Adams took aim at the Biden DOJ’s abuse of power, arguing that federal prosecutors weaponized the legal system to punish political dissent. And he didn’t hold back.

“I think what we have witnessed under President Biden's Justice Department, Americans should never have to live through that again,” Adams said.

That’s not a right-wing firebrand speaking it’s a Democrat mayor. And his claims add fuel to what millions of Americans already believe the DOJ under Joe Biden has become a political hit squad, targeting anyone who dares to challenge the regime.

Adams himself was indicted in 2024 on federal corruption charges related to wire fraud, bribery, and accepting illegal foreign contributions from Turkish officials. He pleaded not guilty and claimed the case was a political hit job in retaliation for his criticism of Biden’s disastrous handling of the illegal immigration crisis. The charges were later dropped by the Trump administration after a DOJ review.

But the damage was done. His political reputation was dragged through the mud and now, as he prepares to leave office, Adams is going public with the truth.

“What I saw happen while I was the mayor is really deplorable, and we saw what happened to President Trump's family as well,” Adams said. “Personal experience allows us to see firsthand the abuse.”

He didn’t stop there.

Adams blasted the DOJ for targeting parents who spoke up at school board meetings, conservative activists like Charlie Kirk, and of course, for raiding Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-Lago over alleged document handling a raid many now agree was politically timed and overblown.

“There’s a real history, a rich history, of me standing up and fighting what the criminal justice system should never be,” Adams added. “I experienced the lawfare myself.”

While Democrats and their media allies once cheered Adams as a moderate counterweight to the far-left, they turned on him the moment he criticized Biden’s immigration failures and now he's joining a growing chorus of leaders across the political spectrum who say the Biden DOJ cannot be trusted.

Let’s not forget:

• Trump was hit with 91 felony counts in politically convenient jurisdictions while campaigning for re-election.

• Parents were labeled “domestic threats” for opposing school indoctrination.

• Pro-life activists were arrested at gunpoint by the FBI while violent left-wing rioters walked free.

• And now even Democrat mayors aren’t safe if they step out of line.

The fact that Eric Adams now sees the parallels between his treatment and Trump’s persecution should concern every American, regardless of party. This isn’t about guilt or innocence it’s about a government that punishes dissent and silences critics.

The Biden administration weaponized the DOJ. And the people are finally starting to see it.
