Keith Ellison Defends Church Disruption by Leftist Protesters
Minnesota AG backs anti-ICE activists who shut down worship service, ignores federal law protecting religious freedom.

In a disturbing display of priorities, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison publicly defended left-wing protesters alongside disgraced ex-CNN host Don Lemon after the group stormed and shut down a church service in St. Paul on Sunday.
The shocking disruption at Cities Church was orchestrated by radical activist Nekima Levy-Armstrong and dozens of her followers as part of a so-called “clandestine operation” designed to “disrupt business as usual.” Lemon was embedded with the group during the protest and later hosted Ellison on a podcast to promote the leftist stunt.
“The protest is fundamental to American society… people have a right to lift up their voices,” Ellison said, brushing off the fact that the protest forced worshippers out and ended the service entirely.
What Ellison failed to mention? The 1994 FACE Act a federal law that explicitly protects religious institutions from exactly this kind of behavior.
The FACE Act makes it a federal crime to “intentionally injure, intimidate or interfere with” anyone exercising their First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of worship. The same statute that the Biden DOJ weaponized against pro-life demonstrators outside abortion clinics is now conveniently forgotten when it’s churches being attacked by the Left.
Dozens of protesters invaded the sanctuary, screamed at congregants, and interrupted worship for nearly 30 minutes.
Ellison equated this violent disruption of religious liberty to “freedom of expression.”
Lemon and Ellison ignored the federal law violated one that has previously been used to prosecute conservatives.
Ellison then deflected, claiming the administration only cares about “sacred and sensitive places” when “it works in their favor,” a bizarre accusation considering the DOJ he works with has thrown the book at peaceful pro-life grandmothers under the same FACE Act.
The Minnesota AG even pivoted mid-rant to attack President Trump rambling about Trump’s criticism of Jimmy Kimmel after the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, and adding, “The mad king won’t let you say jokes about him.” No explanation. No logic. Just raw partisan rage.
This is the face of modern progressivism:
Disrupting churches is now "activism".
Worshippers are “collateral damage” if they don’t align with the Left’s agenda.
And top law enforcement officials cheer it on, ignoring the very laws they’re sworn to uphold.
What happened at Cities Church is not an isolated incident it’s the natural consequence of years of devaluing religious liberty, emboldening mobs, and turning political violence into a virtue.
Keith Ellison’s defense of this outrageous protest shows just how far gone today’s Democrats are. They claim to fight for "tolerance" but only tolerate what they agree with. And if you happen to be a Christian, an ICE agent, or a Trump supporter, you’re on your own.
