Diddy Paid $100K to Cover Up Hotel Assault According to Witness
Security guard testifies he was bribed to destroy incriminating footage of the rapper attacking Cassie Ventura in 2016.

The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs is turning darker by the day and this week’s bombshell testimony could be the most damning yet.
On Tuesday, a former hotel security guard testified under oath that he was paid $100,000 in cash to destroy surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, back in 2016.
Eddie Garcia, the ex-security officer, claimed he was approached by Diddy’s chief of staff, Kristina Khorrum, with the bribe. The mission: erase every trace of the hotel footage showing the violent incident. According to Garcia, Diddy later called him directly and pleaded for help, admitting he had been drinking and saying, “It could ruin me if the video got out.”
"You know how it is with women," the rapper reportedly told him.
Garcia initially resisted the request, but eventually agreed. He described a hush-hush meeting where he and his supervisor handed over a USB drive containing the footage at a high-rise apartment. Garcia says he signed an NDA swearing there were no backups before being handed a paper bag stuffed with $100,000 in cash.
He was also allegedly warned not to make any big purchases that might raise suspicion.
CNN released the video in May 2024, sparking outrage and forcing the media and public to reckon with what had allegedly been buried for years. It remains unclear how the footage leaked despite the cover-up attempt.
This is just one of several shocking revelations to come out during Combs' trial. Ventura herself testified earlier, laying out graphic accounts of abuse physical, sexual, and emotional she says she endured during their ten-year relationship. The jury has heard allegations of manipulation, violence, and coerced acts under threats of retaliation.
Now, the rap mogul faces a slew of federal charges, including:
Sex trafficking
Racketeering
Transportation to engage in prostitution
If convicted, Diddy once hailed as a music industry kingpin could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Combs has pleaded not guilty, and his legal team argues that while he lived a “non-traditional” lifestyle, the acts described in court are either exaggerated or consensual. But this testimony about a six-figure hush payment paints a different picture one of desperation, manipulation, and criminal intent.
And let’s not ignore the broader pattern here. From Harvey Weinstein to Jeffrey Epstein, we’ve seen how elite predators weaponize power, money, and silence to shield themselves. The only difference is the spotlight and it’s squarely on Diddy now.
