Dennis Quaid Backs Trump Over Biden for 2024

Hollywood Star Cites Weaponization of Justice System and Strong Leadership as Key Reasons

In a recent interview with Piers Morgan on British television, actor Dennis Quaid announced his support for former President Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election. Quaid, known for his roles in numerous blockbuster films, explained his reasoning for backing Trump over the current President Joe Biden.

“I think I’m gonna vote for him in the next election,” Quaid stated. “It just makes sense. I was ready not to vote for Trump, until what I saw is, more than politics, I see a weaponization of our justice system and a challenge to our Constitution.”

Quaid highlighted that Trump is "the most investigated person, probably in the history of the world," yet has managed to avoid any substantial charges. This, he suggests, is indicative of a targeted attempt to undermine Trump rather than a pursuit of justice.

The actor acknowledged that he hasn't always agreed with Trump's rhetoric but praised his presidential actions. Quaid cited several key achievements of the Trump administration:

  • Defeating ISIS
Quaid noted that Trump managed to dismantle ISIS within three weeks, an accomplishment that has faded from public memory due to its swift execution.

  • Handling of North Korea
He lauded Trump's dealings with North Korea, referencing the nickname "Rocket Baby" in discussing Trump's confrontational but effective stance.

  • International Relations
Quaid appreciated Trump’s firm stance against adversarial nations like China and contrasted it with the approach during Jimmy Carter's administration, which he felt was overly conciliatory.

Quaid's admiration for Trump extends to his perception of Trump as a leader who genuinely works for the American people. He emphasized, “People might call [Trump] an a**hole but he’s my a**hole.”

When asked about President Biden, Quaid expressed doubts about Biden’s leadership and authenticity. “I don’t believe that Biden is at the helm, I don’t feel he’s there,” Quaid said. He criticized Biden for making statements he doesn't believe in just to secure votes, implying a lack of genuine leadership.

Quaid's bold endorsement of Trump and critique of Biden is sure to spark conversation and controversy. However, his remarks reflect a growing sentiment among voters who seek strong, decisive leadership in the face of national and international challenges.
