Democrats’ Approval Plummets as Trump Gains Favorability in New Poll

The American people have spoken, and the message couldn’t be clearer. The Democratic Party is in freefall while President Donald Trump enjoys a surge in support. A new Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday reveals that Democrats have a brutal net approval rating of -26, as voters overwhelmingly reject their radical agenda.

The poll, conducted from January 23-27 among 1,000 registered voters, found that:

• Only 31% of voters view the Democratic Party favorably, while a staggering 57% hold an unfavorable opinion.

• Among independents, it’s even worse just 22% support the Democrats, signaling a total collapse among swing voters.

• The Republican Party fares far better, with a 43% approval rating and only a slight net negative of -2.

• President Donald Trump holds a net positive rating, with 47% of voters viewing him favorably compared to 45% unfavorably.

This marks a major shift from Trump’s first term, where the media’s relentless smear campaigns kept his approval ratings artificially low. Now, without Biden’s disastrous leadership weighing him down, Trump’s favorability is up 10 points higher than it was at the start of his first presidency.

Vice President JD Vance, still relatively new on the national stage, has yet to be widely recognized, with 23% of voters saying they “haven’t heard enough” about him. Among those who have an opinion, 39% view him favorably, compared to 36% unfavorably a solid starting position.

Beyond personal favorability, Americans are rallying behind Trump’s decisive actions:

• 60% of voters approve of his move to send troops to the southern border to stop illegal immigration.

• 44% support mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

• 54% of Americans say they are optimistic about Trump’s second term, compared to just 42% who are pessimistic.

These findings align with other recent polls showing Trump gaining traction. Economist/YouGov and Rasmussen Reports both give Trump a +4 and +7 net approval rating, respectively. Compare that to Biden, whose approval ratings were consistently underwater during his entire presidency.

The reality is undeniable: The American people are done with the radical left and are standing behind Trump’s leadership. The Democrats are losing support at a historic rate, and they have no one to blame but themselves.
