Marsha Blackburn Criticizes Democratic Leaders for Silence on Tesla Attacks

Explosions, gunfire, and arson are being ignored by the very leaders who claimed praying outside Planned Parenthood was ‘terrorism’

Senator Marsha Blackburn is calling out the deafening silence from Democrat leaders as violent left-wing attacks against Tesla dealerships and owners escalate across the country. In a recent interview, the Tennessee Republican slammed her colleagues on the other side of the aisle for refusing to denounce what she accurately described as acts of domestic terrorism.

From arson and gunfire to bomb threats and vandalism, Tesla has become the latest target in the left's war on anyone associated with innovation, freedom, and Donald Trump. And in the eyes of the radical left, Tesla CEO Elon Musk who’s partnered with Trump’s team to clean up Washington's corrupt bureaucracy is public enemy number one.

“Democratic leadership is not standing up and calling out these acts of domestic terrorism,” Blackburn said. “It’s stunning.”

Her criticism comes as violence against Tesla facilities continues to grow more brazen:

  • An incendiary device was found at a Tesla showroom in Austin, Texas earlier this week, defused by a bomb squad before it could cause massive destruction.

  • In Las Vegas, a suspect torched two Tesla vehicles and opened fire at a facility in a deliberate, targeted attack.

  • Across the country, numerous videos have emerged showing people keying Teslas and spray-painting politically charged messages.

And yet no condemnation. No press conferences. No serious investigations launched by Democrats. Why? Because these attacks don’t fit their narrative.

Senator Blackburn drew a sharp contrast with how Democrats have historically thrown around the “domestic terrorism” label for far less. “They were calling parents at school board meetings ‘domestic terrorists.’ People who prayed outside abortion clinics? Terrorists. But now, when actual violence is being directed at innocent Americans and businesses, they’re silent.”

The hypocrisy is glaring. When graffiti is scrawled on a Planned Parenthood sign, it’s a crisis. But when Teslas are firebombed, it’s a non-event. Even the FBI, no friend to conservatives in recent years, issued a warning bulletin acknowledging that the recent Tesla-related incidents involved arson, gunfire, and attacks aimed at political opponents.

President Trump didn’t mince words either, stating last week: “These are terrorists.” He’s right. If a conservative so much as jaywalks near a left-wing protest, the media lights up. But when leftists set showrooms ablaze? Crickets.

Let’s be clear this isn’t about cars. It’s about control. Tesla represents independence from bloated government systems and elite-controlled tech monopolies. Musk’s support of free speech on X (formerly Twitter) and his partnership with the Trump administration to clean up Washington corruption has made him a threat to the leftist regime.

Senate Republicans are backing Blackburn’s resolution to formally condemn the violence. As she put it, “It will give members of each party the opportunity to stand up and say, ‘We condemn these attacks.’” But it will also expose who refuses to do so.

For years, the left has weaponized fear to silence opposition. Now, they’re turning a blind eye to actual terrorism because it’s convenient. They’re proving once again that their concern for “democracy” only applies when it serves their agenda.

It’s time to call this what it is: politically motivated domestic terrorism. And it’s time for every elected official regardless of party to stand up and say enough is enough.
