Indicted Democrat Asks ICE Director If He’ll “Go to Hell” During Hearing

Only in Biden’s America could a federally indicted Democrat sit on a congressional committee and publicly berate a federal law enforcement official while still facing criminal charges for assaulting federal officers.

That’s exactly what happened Tuesday when Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), who’s currently under federal indictment for her role in a physical altercation with ICE agents in May 2025, launched into a bizarre and unhinged tirade against acting ICE Director Todd Lyons during a House Homeland Security Committee hearing.

“Do you think you’re going to hell, Mr. Lyons?” McIver demanded, after accusing him of having “blood on his hands.”

Lyons, a career law enforcement official and voluntary witness at the hearing, refused to take the bait. But the exchange was so out of bounds that Committee Chairman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) had to intervene multiple times to restore order.

“Members are reminded that we must adhere to established standards of decorum,” Garbarino said, visibly frustrated by McIver’s behavior.

McIver didn’t care. She doubled down, justifying her rant by accusing Republicans of “always talking about religion,” as though that excused a personal theological attack on a federal officer.

Let’s be very clear: this is not normal behavior not even by the low standards of the modern Democratic Party.

McIver’s questioning veered from sarcastic theatrics to outright hostility, accusing ICE of killing American citizens and demanding to know “how many government agencies routinely kill Americans and still get funding.” When Lyons attempted to answer, she simply interrupted again, mocking him for refusing to “entertain” her baseless accusations.

And remember this isn’t some activist with a bullhorn outside a courthouse. This is an elected lawmaker under federal indictment for assaulting law enforcement, sitting on a congressional committee tasked with national security oversight.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

• McIver faces charges for impeding federal law enforcement, yet is allowed to lecture ICE about rule of law.

• She mocked a Christian witness about Judgment Day, while demanding tolerance and decorum for herself.

• She used taxpayer-funded time not to ask questions but to wage a personal crusade to abolish ICE, the very agency tasked with enforcing immigration law.

This is where the Left’s open-border radicalism leads criminal defendants in power, law enforcement demonized, and Christianity weaponized as a rhetorical prop when convenient.

Meanwhile, ICE continues doing its job removing dangerous criminals, stopping human trafficking, and enforcing the laws that Congress itself passed. And for that, its leadership gets accused of having “blood on their hands” by a lawmaker facing her own day in federal court.

It’s no longer just about poor policy. It’s about the total collapse of standards, accountability, and basic decency from the party that claims to care about democracy and the rule of law.
