Cruz Condemns Raddatz for Downplaying Takeover of Colorado Apartments by Illegal Alien Gangs

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) didn’t hold back this week, taking aim at ABC News host Martha Raddatz for downplaying the alarming reports of illegal alien gangs seizing control of apartment complexes in Colorado. Raddatz’s remarks came during an interview with Senator JD Vance (R-OH) on ABC’s This Week, where she shockingly dismissed the takeover as limited to “only a handful of apartment complexes.”

Vance quickly fired back, incredulous at Raddatz’s response: “Martha, do you hear yourself? Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem, and not Kamala Harris’ open border?”

Vance’s reaction echoed the frustration of millions of Americans who are fed up with the escalating crime that’s tied directly to the Biden administration’s weak border policies. Instead of addressing the serious threats posed by violent gangs and criminal illegal aliens, Raddatz seemed more focused on taking jabs at Trump, drawing attention away from the real issue: the disastrous consequences of an open border.

Cruz joined the conversation later on his Verdict podcast, where he blasted Raddatz for her dismissive attitude. “I’m actually surprised that Martha Raddatz didn’t finish her questioning with, ‘I’m Kamala Harris, and I approve this message’,” Cruz quipped, calling her approach "pure, naked propaganda for the Democrats."

Cruz didn’t stop there. He pointed out how out of touch the mainstream media elites are with the realities everyday Americans face. “Martha Raddatz has a very, very nice home in DC,” Cruz noted. “She lives very, very comfortably, so not a problem for her if some little people have to deal with these criminals.”

It’s this kind of media arrogance, according to Cruz, that drives the disconnect between Americans and the corporate press. “Only a handful of apartment complexes have been taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and she says, no big deal,” he added, highlighting the absurdity of her minimizing the danger.

Cruz’s critique comes as crime linked to illegal immigration continues to rise across the country. The open border policies championed by the Biden-Harris administration have left communities vulnerable, with gangs like those from Venezuela now terrorizing American citizens in their own neighborhoods. Yet, outlets like ABC seem more concerned with nitpicking Trump than confronting the harsh reality of the situation.

While the liberal media continues to cover for the failures of the Democratic leadership, the American people see the truth: their safety is being compromised, and the media is complicit in downplaying it.

As the immigration crisis worsens, it’s clear that leaders like Cruz and Vance will continue to call out the blatant disregard for public safety, while media figures like Raddatz try to sweep it under the rug.
