Comer Demands DOJ Probe of Biden’s Autopen Use Amid Mental Decline Cover-Up

House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) is turning up the heat on former President Joe Biden, demanding a full Department of Justice investigation into Biden’s alleged use of an autopen to sign critical executive actions potentially without his awareness or consent.

In a scathing 100-page report released Tuesday, Comer and the GOP majority on the Oversight Committee laid out troubling evidence that Biden’s inner circle covered up signs of severe cognitive decline, and that some executive decisions may have been made by aides or even Hunter Biden rather than the President himself.

The report paints a picture of a White House in chaos, held together by staffers shielding a cognitively fading Biden from public scrutiny, while using the autopen to keep the illusion of command intact.

“Faced with the cognitive decline of President Joe Biden, White House aides at the direction of the inner circle hid the truth about the former president’s condition and fitness for office,” the report states.

But that’s just the beginning.

Among the report’s most shocking revelations:

• Hunter Biden was allegedly present in meetings regarding presidential pardons, including the controversial preemptive pardons of five Biden family members, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, and members of Congress tied to January 6th probes.

• Former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor took the Fifth Amendment on nearly every question in his deposition, refusing to answer whether he gave misleading cognitive health assessments of Biden.

• The White House's documentation of key executive actions including pardons and clemency decisions was so sloppy and opaque that the committee concluded some actions “do not carry the force of law and should be considered void.”

“In the absence of sufficient contemporaneous documentation indicating that cognitively deteriorating President Biden himself made a given executive decision, such decisions... should be considered void,” the report warns.

Comer is now calling on the DOJ to review every executive action made by Biden between January 20, 2021, and January 19, 2025 especially acts of clemency.

Even more damning, the report directly accuses Dr. O’Connor of political malpractice, alleging he succumbed to pressure from Biden’s handlers and misled the American people:

“His refusal to answer questions... combined with testimony indicating that Dr. O’Connor may have succumbed to political pressure... legitimizes the public’s concerns.”

Comer is asking the D.C. Board of Medicine to investigate Dr. O’Connor and potentially revoke his license.

Despite 14 witnesses, nearly 47 hours of depositions, and repeated documentation of Biden’s visible decline, not a single aide would admit under oath that they had any concerns about the President’s cognitive state. That’s despite Biden’s devastating performance in the June 2024 debate which even Democrats privately admitted was a turning point.

The White House continues to claim the investigation is politically motivated. But Comer’s report presents far more than politics it exposes a system built to conceal the unfitness of a sitting president, possibly forging executive orders through autopen while Biden’s cognitive abilities deteriorated behind closed doors.

A spokesperson for Biden dismissed the report as “baseless,” but with these findings now public, the pressure on the DOJ to act is mounting.

Let’s be clear: If the President of the United States wasn’t mentally competent enough to make major executive decisions and others were acting in his name that is not just unethical. It’s unconstitutional.

And if Hunter Biden really played a role in pardon discussions involving his own family? That’s a direct conflict of interest, and one Congress and the American people cannot afford to ignore.
