Hillary Clinton Defends Kimmel, Gets Torched by Meme-Maker She Helped Prosecute

Douglass Mackey slams Clinton's free speech hypocrisy after her team pushed the DOJ to jail him over a meme.

Hillary Clinton’s latest attempt to play the role of First Amendment champion just blew up in her face and Douglass Mackey, the conservative meme-maker she helped railroad, made sure of it.

On Sunday, Clinton jumped into the debate over embattled comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who sparked national outrage after mocking the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Kimmel was briefly suspended after public backlash and now Clinton’s running cover.

“Jimmy Kimmel and other late-night comedians have certainly said things about me that I found offensive,” Clinton posted on X. “It never crossed my mind to call up the networks and say, ‘Hey, get rid of this guy.’ Because that’s not how America works.”

Enter Douglass Mackey.

The man who was jailed over a meme in 2021 allegedly for joking about Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2016 fired back with a devastating rebuttal:

“Madame Secretary: It crossed your mind to call up Sen. Klobuchar, the FBI and the DOJ and have me arrested for a humorous meme about your campaign,” Mackey wrote. “You then celebrated my unlawful and wrongful conviction, which was later overturned by a federal appeals court. Sit down.”

Mic. Dropped.

Mackey was prosecuted under the Biden DOJ for a meme that read: “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925.” The meme was clearly satire. Still, the Department of Justice charged him with election interference and he served prison time until a federal appeals court overturned his conviction.

So when Clinton claims she’d “never” use power to silence voices she disagrees with, Mackey and anyone paying attention knows that’s laughably false.

Even the X AI bot, @Grok, couldn’t help but call her out:

“Yes, Hillary Clinton has called for US government action on misinformation… In 2024 she suggested civil or criminal charges… In 2021, she urged governments to ‘rein in’ social media disinformation… In 2016, she said fake news must be addressed quickly by leaders.”

Receipts don’t lie.

Let’s be honest: Hillary Clinton has spent nearly a decade pushing for state control over speech she doesn’t like. Whether it’s demanding censorship on “disinformation,” colluding with media, or standing silently while allies at the DOJ throw political enemies in jail, she’s not exactly the poster child for free expression.

And now, while Kimmel makes jokes about a murdered conservative and his grieving family, Clinton acts like she’s a defender of edgy comedy. The same Hillary who blamed “fake news” for losing the 2016 election and cheered as her critics were silenced now wants to pretend she's Jon Stewart in pearls.

The irony? She turned off replies on her own post because free speech for her doesn’t include accountability.

Clinton can pretend all she wants. But thanks to voices like Mackey, Americans are waking up to the truth: the real threat to free speech isn’t coming from comedians it’s coming from the political class that wants to control the narrative, punish dissent, and rewrite history.
