America’s Power Grid Compromised by Chinese-Controlled Green Tech
CCP-linked solar inverters threaten U.S. national security while states scramble to secure infrastructure.

The Chinese Communist Party isn’t just lurking at the edge of America’s global interests it’s embedded deep inside our own power grid.
A damning new report from Strider Intelligence confirms what many have feared for years: Chinese-manufactured energy devices, including solar inverters, have quietly become foundational components of America’s power infrastructure. These devices many with direct ties to Beijing’s military and intelligence services are now connected to the very systems that power our hospitals, water treatment plants, military bases, financial institutions, and AI labs.
Let that sink in.
At least 12% of America’s electricity generation is already relying on these Chinese inverters, and that figure is likely much higher, given the lack of transparency in how utilities source their hardware.
“The Chinese government, through its control over government-linked firms and data networks, could exploit this access to manipulate or disrupt the U.S. grid in a crisis,” the report warns.
These devices aren’t just passive components they’re critical control points, equipped with remote access capabilities, data exfiltration tools, and even potential kill switches. And they were paid for, in many cases, with American tax dollars, thanks to the green energy push that’s put solar panels and battery systems ahead of national security.
The answer is as infuriating as it is predictable: reckless green energy expansion, pushed by the Biden administration and the globalist left, has left the door wide open to foreign sabotage. In the race to meet ESG quotas and climate targets, security was thrown out the window.
Chinese companies weren’t just selling solar hardware. They were also funding the political push to expand it.
A report from State Armor reveals that Energy Foundation China, a CCP-supervised nonprofit, has funneled tens of millions into U.S. universities and policy groups to shape energy legislation that would deepen our reliance on Chinese tech.
This isn’t just about cheap parts it’s a long-term infiltration strategy, combining industrial dominance with soft-power manipulation to secure access to our infrastructure.
And Washington? As usual, it’s asleep at the wheel.
The federal response has been fragmented and sluggish, with no clear roadmap to remove foreign-connected components or hold vendors accountable. Which is why this battle must be fought at the state level and some red states are already stepping up.
In 2021, the Lone Star Critical Infrastructure Protection Act blocked CCP-linked entities from controlling energy assets near U.S. military bases. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has since opened investigations into Chinese battery firm CATL for grid vulnerabilities. Other states, including Nebraska and Florida, have launched fraud lawsuits against Chinese tech manufacturers.
Here’s what every red state should be doing right now:
Ban Chinese-manufactured network-connected hardware from critical infrastructure, including inverters, batteries, and surveillance systems.
Use existing consumer protection and deceptive trade laws to prosecute vendors that install remote-access backdoors and malware.
Seize and replace compromised components, using recovered funds from legal actions.
Cut off contractors, nonprofits, and shell companies tied to adversary nations from bidding on infrastructure projects.
The danger is already inside. The CCP has pre-positioned hardware across our grid that could be triggered during a crisis. Whether through cyberattack, physical shutdown, or intelligence gathering, these devices represent a clear and present national security threat and the Biden administration has done nothing to stop it.
This isn’t just a matter of politics. It’s about whether America controls its own power or if we’ve quietly handed over the keys to our enemies.
State leaders must act now. Because the next blackout might not be an accident.
