Charlamagne tha God Warns Democrats Against Kamala 2028 Run
Radio host urges party to abandon Biden-Harris era and reboot with real leaders who connect with Americans.

Even liberal voices are starting to turn on the Democratic establishment and they’re not holding back. Radio host and cultural commentator Charlamagne tha God made waves this week by publicly casting doubt on Kamala Harris’ chances in 2028 and urging the Democratic Party to “throw the old regime under the bus.”
Appearing on Fox News’ “My View” with Lara Trump, Charlamagne didn’t mince words.
“I don't personally know if I would run for president, if I was her... she has to get a real connection with the people. I think that's something that she's always been missing.”
That observation is nothing new to those paying attention. Harris has long struggled to resonate with voters—even within her own party. From her failed 2020 campaign to her notoriously uncomfortable interviews and frequent word salads, the vice president has never found solid footing. Charlamagne is simply saying out loud what millions of Americans already feel.
He criticized Harris for appearing too transactional, noting that she only seems to engage with the public when there's something in it for her.
“People have never seen the VP just out having a conversation... I think she just needs to establish a real connection with the people.”
Charlamagne didn't stop with Harris. He took aim at the broader Democratic leadership especially in the wake of Biden’s embarrassing exit from the 2024 race saying it’s time for Democrats to clean house.
“Whoever is going to be leading the party moving forward... you got to be willing to throw that old regime we just saw under the bus.”
He referenced the revelations in CNN host Jake Tapper’s book Original Sin, which chronicles the internal dysfunction of the Biden administration and the attempt to prop up a clearly failing president.
“We all saw the lie. With our own ears and our own eyes. And then President Biden dropped out way too late. When you see that happen, you've got to say, ‘Hey, I am presenting something totally new.’”
If the Democrats want to survive 2028, they need to ditch Biden and Harris altogether.
Charlamagne even floated the idea of a celebrity outsider ticket featuring Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. That’s how desperate things have become for Democrats they’re now fantasizing about fake news comedians as presidential material.
And yet, even while floating wild ideas, Charlamagne’s point remains brutally honest: the Democratic Party is out of touch, directionless, and incapable of connecting with real Americans.
Kamala Harris’s approval rating has hovered below 40% for most of her vice presidency.
Polls show over 60% of Democrats want a new generation of leadership.
Harris failed to win a single delegate in the 2020 primary before dropping out.
Charlamagne concluded on his radio show this week with a damning summary of where his party stands “I just think Democrats suck so bad. I don't – I don't know.”
That says it all.
