Second Sinaloa Cartel Leader Confirms Trump’s Border Crackdown Is Working
Cartels are jacking up smuggling fees, scrambling for recruits, and losing control under Trump’s tough-on-crime strategy.

It’s not a politician or a pundit saying it it’s the cartel itself. In a rare, masked interview aired by CNN, a senior figure within the ruthless Sinaloa Cartel openly admitted what conservatives have been saying for years: President Donald Trump’s aggressive border and anti-cartel crackdown is hitting them where it hurts.
When asked if Trump’s policies have made cartel operations more difficult, the answer was immediate and unfiltered “Oh yeah. Yeah.
No hesitation. No deflection. Just confirmation from the frontlines of the drug war.
This is the second cartel insider to go public in just weeks with praise yes, praise for Trump’s approach to crushing criminal empires that profit off of drugs, trafficking, and border chaos.
According to CNN’s report, here’s how Trump’s strategy is forcing cartels to adapt:
Smuggling fees have surged from $6,500 to nearly $10,000 per migrant, pricing many out and slowing illegal crossings.
Those who can’t pay up are often forced into debt bondage, coerced into working for the cartels to pay off their “transport.”
Cartels are now recruiting American teenagers on social media to act as drivers and scouts an act of desperation as border enforcement tightens under Trump’s renewed push.
And this isn't just anonymous cartel noise. Margarito “Jay” Flores Jr., the former U.S. distributor for El Chapo himself, recently told media outlets that Trump’s crackdown is working better than anything he’s seen in the last 25 years.
“By the time the president’s term is over,” Flores said, “the landscape of Mexico and the drug cartels is going to look very, very different.”
That’s the kind of shift no politician can manufacture with soundbites. It takes real leadership deploying the military, labeling cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, and restoring border sovereignty to make the world’s most violent criminal networks panic.
The contrast to the Biden years couldn’t be starker:
Under Biden, fentanyl overdoses became the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18–45.
Record numbers of illegal crossings turned the U.S. southern border into a revolving door.
And cartels flourished, making billions off of human misery and lax enforcement.
Now, with Trump back in command and taking real action, the enemy is speaking up and they're not celebrating. They're worried.
The Sinaloa Cartel’s masked lieutenant said it plainly. Trump is making it harder for them to operate.
And that should be the headline on every network if the media weren’t too busy protecting open borders and political agendas. Instead, it took a CNN segment to accidentally validate what patriots have known for years: strong borders save lives. Weak leadership empowers the enemy.
Trump isn’t just talking about law and order he’s making the cartels feel it. And they’re finally saying the quiet part out loud.
