Dan Bongino FBI ‘Weaponization’ Probe Has ‘Shocked Me To My Core’

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino revealed this week that he has been “shocked” by what he has uncovered during ongoing investigations into political corruption and the weaponization of federal law enforcement. Bongino, who left his high-profile career as a talk radio host to serve in the Trump administration, issued a candid statement promising to deliver “THE TRUTH” to the American people.

“During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening,” Bongino said in a post on X. “The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us.”

Bongino, working closely with FBI Director Kash Patel, has reportedly prioritized internal investigations into the Bureau’s past abuses many of which surfaced during the Trump-Russia hoax and subsequent scandals involving the misuse of surveillance tools like FISA warrants.

Bongino’s statement highlighted three major themes:

• Exposure of politicization: He confirmed that the FBI is actively investigating evidence of partisan influence within law enforcement operations.

• Shock at findings: Bongino said what he has uncovered “shocked me down to my core,” stressing that such corruption is incompatible with the principles of a constitutional republic.

• Commitment to transparency: He vowed to pursue these cases “by the book,” promising Americans “not ‘my truth,’ or ‘your truth,’ but THE TRUTH.”

“We cannot run a Republic like this,” Bongino warned. “I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned. We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE.”

The Trump administration has made dismantling the so-called “deep state” a core priority in its second term. Bongino’s remarks come amid heightened scrutiny of federal agencies accused of overreach, particularly during the Biden years, when whistleblowers revealed politicized decision-making inside the FBI.

Bongino closed his statement with a patriotic message: “As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. God bless America, and all those who defend Her. Respectfully, Dan.”
