Bondi Slashes DOJ Grants for ‘Toxic Masculinity’ and ‘Structural Racism’ Projects

Attorney General Pam Bondi is doing what every conservative has wanted for years shutting down the bloated, ideological money pits buried deep inside the Department of Justice. This week, Bondi’s DOJ launched the first wave of major grant cuts, pulling the plug on over 360 left-wing programs wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on projects promoting “toxic masculinity,” “structural racism,” and other vague academic buzzwords.

This is the federal government finally getting back to the basics of law and order. Bondi’s office confirmed that only programs directly helping crime victims or fighting crime will remain intact. The rest? Gone unless they can prove their actual impact.

Among the absurd taxpayer-funded programs eliminated:

• $5 million to an organization promoting “racial equity in victim services” through “listening sessions” in “targeted communities.”

• $2 million to a feminist nonprofit studying “structural racism and toxic masculinities.”

• $1.5 million to create a 17-minute video about the careers of black police leaders for racial equity “training.”

• $1 million to reframe drug crime responses around “socio-ecological contexts” with culturally specific nonprofits.

• $1 million to divert drug crimes “away from the court system” in the name of systemic racism.

The DOJ’s Department of Government Efficiency helped flag these projects, part of what Bondi is calling “wave one” of cuts with more on the way.

Spokesman Gates McGavick was blunt “We will always protect victims of crime and legitimate law enforcement initiatives, but we will no longer spend millions on ‘listening sessions’ and ‘bridging socio-ecological contexts.’”

This is exactly the kind of decisive action that the Trump administration promised and is now delivering. While the Biden DOJ wasted resources on pandering to progressive nonprofits and funding social experiments, Bondi is refocusing the Justice Department on protecting citizens, arresting criminals, and getting drugs off the streets.

Here’s the reality:

• Under Biden, federal grants became a cash cow for activist groups pushing divisive race and gender ideology.

• DOJ spending ballooned into a bureaucratic black hole, with no measurable benefits for crime victims.

• Now, under Trump’s second term and Bondi’s leadership, we’re finally seeing real accountability.

Leftists are already howling, accusing Bondi of attacking “social justice” work. But that’s not what this is about. It’s about stopping the abuse of your tax dollars to fund partisan nonsense that has nothing to do with justice.

The DOJ is not a social science lab. It’s not a DEI think tank. It exists to uphold the law, prosecute criminals, and defend the innocent. And thanks to Bondi, it’s finally acting like it.
