Attorney General Todd Blanche and Agriculture Secretary Brooke L. Rollins have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation on competition in agricultural inputs, the U.S. Department of Justice said Tuesday. The agreement covers food and farm inputs such as feed, fertilizer, fuel, seed, equipment and pesticides, along with other essential goods.

The two signed the MOU on October 5, the department said. It amends and restates a working-level agreement the Justice Department's Antitrust Division entered into in September 2025. The department says the new document reflects the high priority both agencies place on competition for agricultural inputs.

The Justice Department says it is committed to investigating anticompetitive conduct that harms American farmers and families and to bringing appropriate action to stop it. It describes the MOU as deepening its partnership with USDA to protect farmers from unlawful conduct and to promote a more affordable and resilient food supply chain.

The department asked anyone with information about anticompetitive conduct in agriculture, or other antitrust violations, to contact the Antitrust Division's Citizen Complaint Center at 1-888-647-3258 or [email protected]. Information about anticompetitive practices in livestock and poultry markets can also be submitted to the two departments' Agricultural Markets Enforcement Partnership at farmerfairness.gov.
