Biden Says He’d ‘Beat the Hell Outta’ Jake Tapper Amid Questions About Mental Fitness

The former president mocks his own cognitive decline while lashing out at journalists for reporting the obvious.

In yet another public meltdown that raises more questions than it answers, Joe Biden lashed out at journalists during a public event Friday, claiming he could “beat the hell outta” CNN’s Jake Tapper and reporter Alex Thompson, who co-authored a book exposing Biden’s cognitive decline and the Biden White House’s efforts to hide it.

“You can see that I’m mentally incompetent and I can’t walk, and I can beat the hell out of both of them,” Biden blurted out, in what he clearly intended as a joke but came off as another troubling sign of the mental confusion and instability that have plagued his presidency.

The remarks came after a reporter asked about growing concerns over Biden’s physical and mental state, which even many Democrats are now acknowledging publicly. Biden’s response was a bizarre mix of sarcasm and bravado, attempting to deflect from his documented health issues with an awkward attempt at humor.

Biden’s attack on Tapper is especially telling. The CNN anchor long criticized by conservatives for carrying water for the Democratic Party finally acknowledged Biden’s decline in a recent book, outlining internal White House discussions about how to manage the president’s frequent gaffes, blank stares, and wandering remarks.

That book appears to have touched a nerve.

In the same exchange, Biden grew defensive when asked about Democratic doubts over his reelection campaign. “Why didn’t they run against me then? Because I’d have beaten them,” he snapped.

Then, with his trademark condescension, he added, “I’d put my record as president against any president at all.”

Let’s pause here. Biden presided over:

  • The worst inflation in 40 years, driving up food and gas prices

  • An unprecedented border crisis, with over 8 million illegal crossings since 2021

  • The botched Afghanistan withdrawal that left 13 American troops dead

  • Skyrocketing crime and violent anti-police rhetoric in major cities

Yet in his mind, he’s a top-tier president all because a few handpicked historians gave him a pat on the back.

Biden also used the event to address his recent cancer diagnosis, which was quietly disclosed earlier this month. According to Biden, the cancer has not spread, and he’s undergoing a six-week treatment involving medication. “It’s all a matter of taking a pill,” he said, downplaying the seriousness of the situation.

But the American people deserve clarity. We’re looking at a man who admits to being “mentally incompetent” even sarcastically while fighting cancer and insisting he’s ready to run the most powerful nation on Earth.

If any Republican said half of what Biden did on Friday, the media would be on a 24-hour loop demanding disqualification, invoking the 25th Amendment, and screaming about “fitness for office.” But for Biden, it’s just another day of deflection, denial, and delusion.

What Biden calls “joking,” most Americans recognize as a last-ditch attempt to mask a clear and accelerating decline.
