Newly surfaced details from a report published Thursday have shed light on the White House’s extensive efforts to conceal President Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline during his tenure. The revelations paint a troubling picture of a presidency tightly managed by handlers who controlled nearly every aspect of Biden’s interactions, decisions, and communications.

According to the report, which included testimony from nearly 50 Democratic lawmakers, aides, and officials, Biden’s team employed unprecedented measures to shield his cognitive struggles. The measures included:

The result? 13 U.S. service members were killed in a suicide bombing, and images of desperate Afghans clinging to planes as they took off tarnished the U.S. military’s reputation worldwide.

Even Biden’s legal and campaign strategies suffered. Ahead of a critical interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur about his mishandling of classified documents, Biden struggled to retain prepared answers. On the campaign trail, his team tightly controlled events, requiring pre-approved questions from attendees, yet flubs still plagued his appearances.

Biden’s handlers didn’t just manage his public image they shielded him from reality. As polls began showing an increasingly grim outlook for his re-election bid, staffers reportedly withheld critical data. Biden was falsely led to believe that his race against Donald Trump was competitive.
