Biden Claims European Leaders Still Call Him for Advice During Trump Era

Former president says world leaders want him to “get engaged” as Trump restores U.S. leadership.

In a rare public appearance this week, former President Joe Biden claimed that he’s still receiving calls from European leaders asking him to “get engaged” in global affairs despite having been thoroughly sidelined since Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

Speaking at a convention hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management in San Diego, Biden seemed eager to reassert his relevance in a world that has clearly moved on. “I’m getting calls. I’m not going to go into it, I can’t, from a number of European leaders asking me to get engaged,” Biden said. “I’m not, but I’m giving advice. Because things are different.”

That’s one way to put it.

Biden’s comments come as President Trump reestablishes America’s role on the world stage with decisive leadership and real diplomatic wins. From crushing Iran’s nuclear ambitions to getting NATO allies to commit to historic defense spending, Trump has been delivering results Biden never could.

But Biden’s self-promotion didn’t stop with Europe. He added that both Democrat and Republican officeholders were “wanting to talk” to him—though he admitted, “not because they think I have the answer.” A rare moment of honesty, perhaps.

“I’m not looking for them. They asked to see me, I see them,” he added, painting a picture of a behind-the-scenes elder statesman clinging to influence while Trump dominates policy and headlines.

To further bolster his comeback fantasy, Biden also revealed that he’s working on a 500-page memoir that he says will be published by March. He described himself as “working like hell” to finish the book, which he claims is expected of all presidents.

This all comes amid whispers of discontent among Democrats. Biden’s recent public outings have been met with mixed reactions from his own party, as more and more Democrats distance themselves from the failed policies and political baggage of his presidency.

While Biden chases phone calls and book deadlines, President Trump is brokering real change. Under his leadership, America’s standing on the world stage is being restored, not with empty platitudes, but with strength, leverage, and results.

It’s clear who’s leading and who’s just lingering.
