Biden Admin Ignored 65,000 Red Flags on Migrant Child Trafficking

The Biden administration didn’t just mishandle the border crisis it may have actively endangered the lives of thousands of migrant children.

According to Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the Department of Health and Human Services under Biden ignored or dismissed over 65,000 troubling reports involving unaccompanied alien children (UACs). Among these were nearly 7,000 reports of suspected child trafficking and nearly 2,000 related to fraud and the vast majority were left untouched.

This is not a clerical error. It’s a systemic failure at the highest levels, and it reflects just how broken Biden’s immigration policy truly is.

“My oversight exposed the Biden-Harris administration for placing unaccompanied migrant children with dangerous sponsors and actively obstructing law enforcement and Congress’ efforts to rescue vulnerable kids,” Grassley said in a statement.

That obstruction included stonewalling congressional inquiries. Grassley wrote that then-HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra ordered contractors and grantees not to cooperate with his investigation, redirecting his requests to bureaucrats who never responded.

And what’s worse 85,000 unaccompanied minors who crossed into the country under Biden have gone missing, their whereabouts completely unknown. Many of them were handed off to adult sponsors without basic background checks, a direct result of the administration relaxing safety protocols to rush processing times.

The contrast with President Trump’s return to office couldn’t be more stark.

Since resuming leadership, Trump’s HHS team has worked through a quarter of the backlog and launched dozens of criminal investigations and arrests. That means the same reports Biden officials ignored are now being acted on and children are being rescued from traffickers, predators, and abusers.

In a statement posted to social media, HHS admitted that the reports weren’t just numbers. “Each one a missed chance to protect a child,” the department said. It’s a rare admission but it comes too late for tens of thousands of kids.

The Biden administration has always treated the border crisis like a political inconvenience, not a humanitarian disaster. But these new revelations from Grassley make one thing clear: this isn’t just failed policy it’s moral negligence.

President Trump is once again stepping in to clean up the mess, putting the lives and safety of vulnerable children first where Biden’s bureaucrats saw only paperwork.
