Liberal Tech Billionaire Begs Trump to Send National Guard to San Francisco

In a stunning about-face, tech billionaire Marc Benioff once a champion of radical leftist causes is now publicly praising President Donald Trump and begging him to deploy the National Guard to rescue San Francisco from the Democrat-made disaster it has become.

“We don’t have enough cops, so if [the National Guard] can be cops, I’m all for it,” Benioff told The New York Times in a revealing interview. “I fully support the president. I think he’s doing a great job.”

The comments come just one week before Benioff’s massive Dreamforce tech conference, held annually in San Francisco a city now defined by open-air drug use, rampant homelessness, and rising crime under decades of Democrat control.

Benioff, who made his billions as CEO of Salesforce, admitted he now has to pay out of pocket for extra police to secure the area around his event a sharp contrast to the glory days of San Francisco’s downtown.

“You’ll see. When you walk through San Francisco next week, there will be cops on every corner,” Benioff said. “That’s how it used to be.”

But Benioff’s recent praise for Trump marks a shocking departure from his own activist history. From 2022 to 2024 alone, Salesforce poured over $23 million into the Tides Foundation, a powerful left-wing dark money group that funds progressive causes including organizations tied to transgender activism and groups with alarming anti-Israel affiliations.

Salesforce also donated $1.5 million to the New Venture Fund, which has been linked by investigators to Palestinian extremist groups. In addition, the company has used its global platform to celebrate transgender ideology and endorse woke military policies.

So what changed?

Reality.

San Francisco the heart of Benioff’s empire is crumbling under the weight of Democrat policies. Businesses are fleeing. Tourism is tanking. Violent crime and overdoses are out of control. And even the most devout liberal elites are realizing they can’t host glitzy events in cities that look like war zones.

Now, Benioff is turning to the one person who actually knows how to clean up the mess: Donald J. Trump.

The billionaire was seen seated across from Trump during last month’s state dinner with King Charles in the U.K., where he reportedly told the president how “grateful” he was for Trump’s leadership.

Benioff’s plea echoes Trump’s own warning from earlier this year. “You look at what the Democrats have done to San Francisco they’ve destroyed it,” Trump said in August. “We can clean that up, too we’ll clean that one up, too.”

It’s a far cry from the narrative peddled by Democrats and their donors for years and it’s a clear sign that even the Left’s biggest backers know who to call when things truly fall apart.

What Benioff is admitting whether he realizes it or not is that Trump gets results. When cities fail, when chaos takes hold, and when leadership is nowhere to be found, Trump stands ready to do what weak mayors and governors won’t.

Deploy the Guard. Restore order. Protect the people.

And as the corporate elite abandon their woke fantasies in exchange for security and stability, one truth becomes harder and harder to deny:

Trump was right.
