Bailey Joins FBI Leadership Under Bondi and Patel in Law and Order Shake-Up

Trump taps Missouri AG to help carry out sweeping crackdown on crime, corruption, and illegal immigration.

President Donald Trump’s law-and-order agenda just gained more firepower. In a bold move to expand federal enforcement muscle, Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel have appointed Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey as Co-Deputy Director of the FBI, joining former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino in one of the agency’s top roles.

The appointment is part of Trump’s aggressive effort to restore law, order, and national security, and follows a record-breaking year for the FBI under Patel’s leadership.

“I am thrilled to welcome Andrew Bailey as Co-Deputy Director of the FBI,” Bondi said. “His leadership and commitment to country will be a tremendous asset as we work together to advance President Trump’s mission.”

Bailey brings serious credentials to the post:

  • As Missouri’s Attorney General, he launched an anti-human trafficking task force that dealt with over 1,100 incidents.

  • He cleared the backlog of Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence (SAFE) kits, strengthening prosecution of violent crimes.

  • Bailey oversaw a 133% increase in trial-level criminal prosecutions, earning support from the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police.

  • He also held public officials accountable demanding resignations and pursuing indictments for corruption and election violations.

“I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve,” Bailey said, thanking President Trump, Bondi, and Patel. “This is about making America safe again.”

He’s stepping into a federal law enforcement team that’s already setting historic records:

  • 19,000 arrests in 2025 alone, double that of the previous year.

  • 1,600 violent crimes against children resolved, including 270 human trafficking arrests.

  • 1,000 terrorism-related arrests, plus 3 of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted criminals captured.

  • 4,000 children rescued, a 33% increase over last year.

  • 1,500 kilos of fentanyl and 6,300 kilos of meth seized.

  • And for the first time ever, the national murder rate is on track to hit an all-time low.

“We need all hands on deck,” a senior Trump official told Fox News Digital. “Andrew Bailey is another set of credible, experienced hands.”

The addition of Bailey also comes as Trump’s DOJ, led by Bondi, continues its federal takeover of crime-ridden Washington, D.C. Bondi recently confirmed nearly 200 arrests in the nation’s capital including murder suspects, drug traffickers, gun offenders, and sexual predators since the city was federalized to stop the violence.

“President Trump wants to see America quickly become the safest country in the world,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. “And he has put together the best law and order focused team in the business to accomplish that goal.”

While Democrats continue to demonize police and coddle criminals, Trump is assembling a powerhouse team to take the fight to the streets and win. The message is simple: America’s safety comes first.
