B-2 Bombers Return Home After Crushing Iranian Nuclear Targets

After a daring 36-hour roundtrip mission across the globe, seven U.S. B-2 stealth bombers have returned safely to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. The elite aircraft were the spearhead of Operation Midnight Hammer, a precision strike on Iran’s most guarded nuclear facilities Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine confirmed in a press briefing that the strike team employed advanced tactics to maintain complete surprise. From the use of decoys to coordinated high-speed suppression of enemy defenses, this was a masterclass in American military might.

• The operation involved 4th and 5th generation fighter jets flying high-speed cover ahead of the bombers.

• The strike began at 6:40 p.m. ET and was complete within 25 minutes, with no shots fired at U.S. aircraft during the entry or exit.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had high praise for the team “Warriors All of them.” He highlighted not just the pilots but the entire network of military personnel who supported the mission across land, sea, and air.
