Army Analyst Sentenced After Selling Military Secrets to China
A shocking betrayal reveals how deep China’s infiltration efforts run and just how vulnerable our military has become under weak leadership.

In a move that underscores just how exposed our nation’s defenses have become under Joe Biden’s watch, a former U.S. Army intelligence analyst has been sentenced to seven years in prison for selling sensitive military information to a Chinese national. This isn't just a breach of duty it's an act of betrayal, and one that shines a glaring spotlight on the growing threat posed by China’s espionage operations against the United States.
Korbein Schultz, 25, of Texas, admitted to funneling sensitive U.S. military documents to someone he believed to be affiliated with the Chinese government. His motive? Cold hard cash. Schultz received roughly $42,000 in exchange for national defense information, which included everything from missile defense strategies to tactical helicopter manuals the kind of data that could put American lives at risk on the battlefield.
Here’s what Schultz handed over:
Operational orders related to U.S. troop deployments in Eastern Europe for NATO missions.
Detailed assessments of lessons learned from the Ukraine-Russia war, including strategies applicable to defending Taiwan.
Technical specifications for the F-22A fighter, HH-60 helicopters, and Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.
Intelligence on Chinese military strategies and capabilities, including the People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force.
Classified information on U.S. joint military exercises with allies like South Korea and the Philippines.
Schultz didn’t stop at leaking documents. According to prosecutors, he also tried to recruit a fellow analyst stationed at the Pentagon’s Indo-Pacific Command—clearly an attempt to expand China’s reach within one of the most strategically sensitive U.S. military regions.
Let’s be clear: this happened while Joe Biden is president. This is the same administration that has repeatedly failed to take China’s threat seriously. While the Democrats obsess over climate pledges and DEI checkboxes in the Pentagon, the Chinese Communist Party is quietly gathering intel on how to defeat us in war. And they're using our own people to do it.
A 2023 Pentagon report found that China has increased its espionage activity against the U.S. by 140% over the past five years.
In 2022 alone, there were over 300 known attempts by Chinese operatives to contact U.S. military personnel through freelance platforms and social media.
Schultz’s case is far from isolated it’s a symptom of a broader problem. Our adversaries see the Biden administration’s weakness, confusion, and incompetence, and they’re taking full advantage.
Attorney General Pamela Bondi nailed it when she said Schultz’s betrayal endangered American service members. But this should also be a wake-up call to every American voter: national security is not something we can afford to gamble on with more failed Democratic leadership.
It’s time to elect real leadership leadership that prioritizes defending America over appeasing global adversaries.
