GOP Slams AOC Over Call to Impeach Trump for Iran Airstrikes

Leave it to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to turn a bold act of American strength into another excuse to scream impeachment.

After President Donald Trump ordered decisive strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities a move widely praised by national security experts and military leaders Rep. AOC rushed to X (formerly Twitter) to declare the action a “grave violation of the Constitution” and “grounds for impeachment.”

Unsurprisingly, Republicans weren’t having it.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene summed up the sentiment perfectly: “Shut up you pathetic little hypocrite.” Greene noted that AOC had no problem voting to fund Biden’s proxy war in Ukraine under a president she and many others admit is mentally slipping but suddenly pretends to care about unauthorized military action.

Rep. Mike Lawler also pushed back on Fox News, exposing the left’s selective outrage. “For my colleagues that are now demanding impeachment, it’s absolutely absurd,” he said, reminding viewers that Barack Obama bombed Libya, Syria, Pakistan, and Yemen without a single peep about impeachment from the Squad.

Even a former Clinton aide, Dan Turrentine, called out his own party. “This was not an impeachable offense,” he wrote, slamming Democrats for omitting any mention of Iran’s nuclear threat. “Why can’t our Party just say it’s great we achieved the objective and destroyed Iran’s nuclear sites?”

• Trump’s precision strikes targeted Iran’s nuclear program not civilians and were completed without loss of American life.

• Under Obama, drone strikes killed hundreds in unauthorized missions, yet Democrats never called for his impeachment.

• A 2023 Pew survey found that over 65% of Americans oppose Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, a position Trump’s actions directly upheld.

Let’s be clear: Trump acted decisively to prevent the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism from acquiring nuclear weapons. That isn’t a “dastardly deed,” as some Democrats now claim it’s leadership. AOC and her allies are once again proving that their hatred for Trump outweighs any concern for national security or American lives.

Sen. James Lankford warned that if Democrats regain Congress, more baseless impeachment attempts will follow. After all, they’ve tried it twice and failed both times. They’ve learned nothing. To them, impeachment is no longer a constitutional remedy it’s a political hobby.

While Trump is out there making the world safer, Democrats are busy throwing tantrums and clinging to the same tired narrative that cost them credibility years ago.
