Anti-ICE Protests Hit Olympics as WaPo Implodes and Guthrie Ransom Surfaces
Leftist outrage targets ICE agents in Italy, Nancy Guthrie’s family agrees to $6M ransom, and chaos erupts inside The Washington Post.

The 2026 Winter Olympics have already turned political and not in a good way. As athletes and leftist activists use the world stage in Milan to attack U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), another hostage crisis unfolds back home, and a major media institution melts down.
Anti-ICE Olympics Erupt in Italy
ICE’s presence at the Winter Games standard protocol for protecting American citizens abroad has triggered protests, both from Italian activists and U.S. Olympians themselves.
Milan’s far-left mayor called ICE a “militia that kills.”
One protest turned violent, as radicals launched fireworks at police.
Team USA renamed its lodging from the “ICE House” to the “Winter House” to appease critics.
Some American athletes joined in the anti-American virtue signaling. Freestyle skiers Hunter Hess and Chris Lillis, along with figure skater Amber Glenn, used their platforms to denounce ICE ironically while representing a nation they clearly don’t understand or appreciate.
President Trump didn’t hold back. In a statement on Truth Social, he blasted Hess:
“Real Loser. Shouldn’t have tried out for the Team, and it’s too bad he’s on it.”
These antics aren’t just embarrassing they’re dangerous. They signal to the world that even our own athletes don’t stand behind the institutions tasked with keeping Americans safe.
Nancy Guthrie Ransom Demand Surfaces
Back in the U.S., the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie enters its ninth day. On Sunday, authorities focused their search on a septic tank behind her Tucson-area home. Law enforcement also spent hours Saturday at the home of Annie Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter, where she was last seen.
Savannah Guthrie released a haunting video appeal over the weekend:
“We received your message. We beg you now to return our mother to us.”
She added the family “will pay” a ransom reportedly $6 million.
The heartbreaking plea raises serious questions about who is behind the abduction, and why authorities have yet to identify any suspects. The fact that the family is willing to pay speaks to both their desperation and the terrifying reality of the situation.
Meanwhile, the legacy media continues its collapse. The Washington Post laid off nearly 30% of its staff, about 300 employees, sending shockwaves through the already flailing newsroom. Former employees held protests outside WaPo’s headquarters over the weekend as the paper’s publisher, Will Lewis, announced his resignation.
Jeff Bezos, owner of the Post, called the gutting an “extraordinary opportunity” and talked about “sustainability” corporate speak for “nobody wants to read this anymore.”
Let’s not forget, this is the same Post that spent years pushing disinformation, obsessing over Trump, and ignoring real stories that mattered to Americans. Now, after losing reader trust and relevance, they’re getting a hard lesson in what happens when you sell propaganda as journalism.
This is what happens when a culture built on contempt for truth, borders, and patriotism reaches its breaking point whether it’s on the Olympic stage, in the media tower, or inside a family praying for a loved one’s safe return.
