U.S. Citizen Arrested and Charged in Alleged Firebomb Plot Targeting Embassy in Israel
Dual national arrested for attempting terror attack and threatening to assassinate President Trump.

In a shocking development that underscores the growing threats against the United States from within its own borders, federal authorities have arrested a dual U.S.-German citizen for attempting to carry out a terror attack against a U.S. Embassy and for threatening the life of President Donald Trump.
Joseph Neumayer, 28, was arrested by FBI agents at JFK International Airport after being deported from Israel. The Department of Justice revealed that Neumayer, armed with Molotov cocktails, had tried to firebomb the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv in May. According to authorities, he also posted violently anti-American threats on social media, including a chilling call to "burn down the embassy" and "death to Americans."
This isn't just another deranged individual acting alone. It's a stark reminder of the consequences of radical ideologies festering unchecked and a disturbing glimpse at what festers when our current leadership fails to take threats seriously.
Key details of the plot and arrest:
Neumayer arrived in Israel in April 2025, and on May 19, he spat on an embassy guard before fleeing and leaving behind a backpack containing three homemade incendiary devices.
A post from Neumayer's social media account that day read: “Join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f*** the west.”
Israeli authorities tracked him to his hotel and arrested him before handing him over to the U.S. on May 25.
Investigators also uncovered social media posts threatening to assassinate President Trump.
The suspect now faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine a sentence that still doesn’t seem to match the gravity of plotting a terror attack against an American diplomatic site and threatening a former president's life.
Meanwhile, where is the Biden administration on this? Silent. Absent. Predictably uninterested in holding radicals accountable unless it’s politically convenient. If this had been a right-wing extremist making threats against Biden, the media and the DOJ would already be lighting torches and beating the war drums for another FBI dragnet.
Let’s not forget:
In 2023, over 13,000 Americans were victims of violent crime tied to extremist ideologies.
Nearly 60% of federal terrorism prosecutions in recent years have involved U.S. citizens or residents radicalized online.
Threats against high-profile Republican figures have surged by more than 300% since 2021, according to DHS monitoring reports.
Attorney General Pam Bondi rightly stated that this attempt at violence will be prosecuted to the fullest extent. But will the larger problem be addressed? Or will the Biden White House continue ignoring internal threats when they don't fit their convenient narratives?
This case isn't just about one would-be bomber it's about a system that’s broken and a leadership that refuses to fix it.
