America Ignores China While the CCP Prepares for War
While Washington obsesses over foreign sideshows, Beijing quietly builds the force to dominate the 21st century.

While the Biden administration fixates on Ukraine and the Middle East, China is quietly preparing to replace America as the dominant power on earth.
It’s a harsh truth the political class in D.C. doesn’t want to face but it’s unfolding in real time. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is pouring everything into a military buildup that makes the Cold War arms race look tame. Sea, air, space, cyber, artificial intelligence you name it, and Beijing is building it faster, cheaper, and smarter than we are.
Meanwhile, our military is stretched thin, underfunded, and focused on the wrong theaters.
China has built the largest navy in the world over 370 warships, while our own fleet is aging and shrinking.
Xi Jinping has ordered the PLA to be ready for a Taiwan invasion by 2027 yet we can barely build ships and submarines fast enough to maintain the status quo.
They’ve constructed 300 new missile silos and are deploying precision-strike rocket forces, stealth fighters, and hardened artificial islands all while we debate pronouns in the Pentagon.
Let that sink in.
The U.S. is still tied up in a Cold War-style force posture, scattering troops across NATO countries while our Indo-Pacific deterrent remains critically underpowered. The so-called “pivot to Asia” under Obama never materialized and now we’re paying the price.
China’s strategy isn’t about brute force alone. It’s about asymmetry. While we spend $13 billion on a single aircraft carrier, Beijing cranks out hundreds of long-range anti-ship missiles for a fraction of the cost. Their goal isn’t to match us ship-for-ship it’s to sink what we have before we even get close.
And what about missile defense? We have elite systems like THAAD and Patriot batteries but not nearly enough of them to survive a sustained Chinese barrage. The Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments has warned that unless we massively increase stockpiles and harden our bases, we could run out of munitions within weeks of a conflict.
Sen. Roger Wicker nailed it earlier this year when he said our Navy is making “impossible choices.” Funding new ships? Or maintaining the ones we already have? Buying munitions? Or fixing what’s broken? Under this administration, we’re doing none of it well and our adversaries know it.
Let’s be clear: Xi Jinping is not some cautious bureaucrat waiting around for perfection. He’s a Marxist dictator with no term limits, no political opposition, and a vision for unifying Taiwan that he calls “a historical mission.” And he may not even need to invade to succeed. The PLA is already rehearsing coercion airspace incursions, cyberattacks, maritime harassment, and political warfare all below the threshold of war but still deadly serious.
And while Washington plays footsie with Iran and sends blank checks to Ukraine, China is running the long game. They supply Russia under the table, broker fake “peace” deals, and dangle phony bargains before gullible American diplomats, hoping we’ll give up the Pacific without a fight.
If we keep ignoring this, we may just let them win.
We must shift gears immediately. That means:
Surging shipbuilding and missile production, not wasting defense dollars on leftist social experiments.
Harden and disperse our Indo-Pacific military bases to survive the opening blows of any future conflict.
Expand Arctic presence as Beijing quietly moves in through “scientific” icebreakers and port deals.
Deepen alliances with Japan, Australia, India, and others who know exactly what the CCP is planning.
This is no longer about “competition.” China is actively preparing for dominance and America is asleep at the wheel.
We’re fiddling while Rome burns. But it’s not too late yet.
