Kamala Targeted in Swing State Ads for Supporting Trans Surgeries on Kids

A Catholic advocacy group launched a major ad campaign on Monday aimed at Vice President Kamala Harris, focusing on her support for controversial transgender procedures on minors. The $250,000 campaign from CatholicVote will air digital and television ads in crucial swing states—Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Michigan—just as the 2024 election cycle begins to heat up.

The ads target Harris for her stance on what the Biden administration refers to as “gender-affirming care” for children, procedures that include removing healthy breasts and performing genital surgeries on minors who identify as transgender. CatholicVote President Brian Burch emphasized the seriousness of the issue, stating, "Most people have no idea of the size, scope, and money involved in the trans agenda being pushed on our kids."

The ads feature data showing how many young girls have undergone elective mastectomies in these states: 86 in Wisconsin, 97 in Pennsylvania, 18 in Nevada, and 35 in Michigan. The ads also reveal alarming figures about uterus removals and other surgeries performed on minors. According to the ads, these procedures are happening under the banner of "gender-affirming care," and taxpayers are often forced to foot the bill.

• Elective mastectomies on minors in 2022: 86 in Wisconsin, 97 in Pennsylvania, 18 in Nevada, 35 in Michigan.

• Uterus removals on minors in 2022: 12 in Wisconsin, 14 in Pennsylvania, 3 in Nevada, 7 in Michigan.

• Other procedures include nipple reconstruction, genital surgeries, and voice-altering surgeries.

Burch called out Harris and her Democratic colleagues for supporting these procedures: "Kamala Harris supports these taxpayer-funded sex change operations. A vote for Harris: a vote for medical experiments on kids." The ad campaign positions Harris and her support of these controversial procedures as a key issue for Catholic voters and other concerned parents.

Polling indicates that over 90% of Catholic voters oppose transgender surgeries on minors, a statistic the CatholicVote campaign is banking on to sway voters in battleground states. With Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and Wisconsin potentially deciding the outcome of the 2024 election, Harris' support for these procedures may become a defining issue.

The Biden-Harris administration has consistently condemned states that have banned transgender procedures for children, claiming that "transgender children have the right to access gender-affirming health care." This position contrasts sharply with that of Republicans, including former President Donald Trump, who have spoken out against such procedures.

As the ads flood key states, the CatholicVote campaign hopes to expose Harris and other Democratic leaders who support what they describe as "dangerous medical experiments." Burch was clear in his final message: "If Kamala Harris wins, how many more children's bodies will she help destroy?"
