Trump Applauds ‘Sound of Freedom’: A Night of Cinematic Triumph at Bedminster

Former President Donald Trump arranged an exclusive screening of the celebrated film “Sound of Freedom” at his Bedminster club in New Jersey this past Wednesday.

Jack Posobiec from Human Events, who was among the attendees, captured a moment post-screening where Trump acknowledged the film’s lead actor, Jim Caviezel, and Tim Ballard, the real-life hero whose story inspired the film. The former president expressed his appreciation for the movie and recognized its success.

After viewing the film, Trump said, “I hope you enjoyed it. It’s something I’m not sure if you’re supposed to enjoy or learn — it’s a combination, but it’s, that was a great movie.” He added, “Now I understand why it’s doing so well.”

Trump drew attention to the film’s impressive box office performance, commenting, “It’s setting records, by the way. It’s beating the biggest movies out.” He concluded his remarks by expressing how much he enjoyed the evening and noting the movie’s inspirational quality.

The former president shared the front row with Caviezel and Ballard during the screening, fully engrossed in the cinematic experience. The compelling story told by “Sound of Freedom” seemingly held Trump’s attention firmly throughout, with Posobiec noting that the former president didn’t move “an inch” once the film began.

In his post-screening speech, Trump lauded Caviezel, stating, “It was an honor getting to know you.”

Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake was also among the attendees. She too praised “Sound of Freedom,” describing it as an “incredibly impactful film” that underscores the significance of the global fight against sex trafficking.

The movie, which depicts the true story of a former government agent turned child rescue advocate, has indeed captured audiences’ hearts. On Thursday, “Sound of Freedom” crossed the $100 million mark in domestic box office collections, as reported by Variety. The film even outperformed Disney’s “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” in its opening weekend and shows no sign of slowing its momentum. This cinematic success story only continues to grow, capturing attention, praise, and powerful advocacy in the fight against child trafficking.
