In a surprising turn of events, the House floor became a battleground on Wednesday when two stalwart MAGA proponents, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, locked horns.
Video footage reveals a conversation that can only be described as heated. Greene allegedly went so far as to refer to Boebert as a “little b****,” according to three separate sources, two of whom reportedly witnessed the exchange.
Both congresswomen, known for their unwavering conservative stances, have separately introduced articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden. Their shared grievance centers on the escalating immigration crisis at our southern border. However, Greene reportedly took issue with Boebert for purportedly mimicking her impeachment articles.
Greene’s words to Boebert hinted at a deeper rift, “I’ve donated to you, I’ve defended you. But you’ve been nothing but a little b**** to me,” she reportedly declared, adding, “And you copied my articles of impeachment after I asked you to cosponsor them.”
A fellow House Republican confirmed that Greene did indeed use profanity to address Boebert, adding fuel to this spectacle.
Boebert reportedly responded in a decisive tone, “OK, Marjorie, we’re through,” only to receive a swift retort from Greene, “We were never together.”
Greene later confirmed the accuracy of these reports via a tweet.
This clash is not their first public discord; the tension between these two members of the House Freedom Caucus has been simmering for some time. Back in January, Boebert shared an incident on Dana Loesch’s conservative radio show where she quarreled with Greene in a Capitol restroom over the House speakership, a position eventually won by Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California.
However, in a statement released on Wednesday, Boebert chose not to dwell on the disagreement with Greene. Instead, she redirected focus onto the more pressing issue at hand – opposing the current administration’s policies.
“Marjorie is not my enemy. I came here to protect our children and their posterity,” Boebert’s statement read. “Joe Biden and the Democrats are destroying our country. My priorities are to correct their bad policies and save America.”
Even as these two prominent figures within the conservative arena experience tension, their unified commitment to challenging the current administration remains unaltered.
