Outspoken House Republican representative, known for her hard-hitting rhetoric, expresses disappointment over her GOP colleagues’ seeming reticence to impeach President Joe Biden, following allegations revealed in a recently shared FBI document.
Last week, FBI Director Christopher Wray, under the looming threat of a contempt of Congress charge, presented a document to members of the House Oversight Committee. The document contained allegations against President Biden dating back to his vice presidency under the Obama administration.
Sources privy to the document, designated an FD-1023 form, allege it asserts that Biden received a $5 million payment from an executive of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company. To remind you, this is the same company that hired Biden’s son, Hunter, as a board member despite his lack of background in the energy sector or knowledge of the Ukrainian language. His appointment ran from 2014 to 2019, with a monthly compensation of at least $50,000.
Upon reviewing the document, the fiery Republican representative called for Biden’s impeachment, followed by legal prosecution. However, her GOP colleagues appear disinterested, according to Breitbart.
When queried about what might provoke their interest, she expressed bafflement, saying, “To be honest with you? I don’t know. That’s the part that literally leaves me dumbfounded.”
The question of impeachment, according to the representative, boils down to whether the House Republicans have the fortitude to uphold their convictions.
She argues that pursuing impeachment is critical to showing voters their commitment to accountability. “If we don’t do it, then why do they want to vote for us?” she posits.
Following the recent disclosure, subpoenas have been issued to four banks to investigate the Biden family’s finances. The Oversight Committee is set to probe further allegations linked to the FBI document.
The FD-1023 report contains unverified information provided to the FBI by a confidential source. As per Fox, the 2020 report summarizes the informant’s conversations with a Burisma executive dating back to 2015.
The report reveals a complex web of transactions designed to frustrate any investigation. The Burisma executive is alleged to have cryptically referred to payments made to “one Biden” and “the other Biden,” with the term “Big Guy” thought to refer to Joe Biden.
The representative has pledged to persevere with the investigation, stressing the need for FBI cooperation and expressing optimism that Director Wray will continue to assist the investigation.
