South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has already shown her grit in this battle, signing a bill to bar transgender athletes from women’s school sports. Governor Noem has boldly vowed to take the fight to court, and we should all support her in this worthy cause.
The fact is that transgender athletes have an unfair advantage when competing against biological females. They have the physical advantages of a male body that has undergone puberty, including larger muscle mass, greater lung capacity, and more efficient oxygen uptake. No amount of hormone treatments or surgeries can fully reverse this advantage.
Moreover, the inclusion of biological males in women’s sports teams poses a serious risk to the safety of female athletes. For example, former college swimming star Riley Gaines was assaulted at San Francisco State University for speaking out about the unfairness of allowing trans women to compete in women’s sports.
The left’s insistence on pushing the transgender agenda in women’s sports is just another example of their dangerous, radical agenda. It’s a culture war that threatens the very foundation of our society. Conservatives must remain vigilant in defending the rights and dignity of women, and push back against those who seek to erase the differences between male and female.
