Biden Has Not Yet ‘Shut Down’ Covid Therefore, Face Masks Are Once Again “Strongly Recommended” in Democratic-controlled Los Angeles

Published:

The recent surge in Covid-19 cases across the United States has been disheartening and concerning. Despite President Biden’s promises to help slow the spread of the virus, it has instead been rapidly increasing in infection rates since his inauguration. With Los Angeles County alone experiencing a 50% spike in coronavirus cases, the health department is recommending that face masks be worn at all times when inside public places.

It seems as though the Democratic Party, who promised to help contain and mitigate the virus during their campaigns, have failed to do so. Rather than seeing a decrease in outbreaks since Biden was sworn into office, we have seen an unprecedented rise in hospitalizations, ICU referrals and deaths due to Covid-19. Such figures are alarming and require serious attention from our government officials but it appears that no real action is being taken.

The Biden Administration’s proposed 100 Days Masking Challenge was supposedly aimed at helping control the spread of Covid-19 but has done little more than further add to the confusion surrounding how best to handle this pandemic. It appears that they were more concerned with making a dramatic statement than actually tackling this issue head-on and providing citizens with clear direction on how best to protect themselves and others from becoming infected.

It is deeply concerning that members of the Democratic Party sold us false hope during their campaigns by promising that they had what it took to make a difference regarding this disease yet have done very little since taking office. Citizens should be demanding an apology from those who led them astray with empty promises instead of being given actual guidance on how best to protect themselves from this potentially deadly virus.

The US government must take immediate action if we are to get a grip on Covid-19 before it spirals out of control any further. This means stronger enforcement of safety regulations such as wearing face masks indoors at all times, social distancing protocols, stringent testing measures for suspected cases as well as an array of other measures necessary for curbing transmission rates of this highly contagious illness.

We must also recognize that successful mitigation will require more than just governmental intervention; individuals need to take responsibility for their own health and safety by following these public health guidelines diligently even if they seem inconvenient or impractical at times. We can beat this virus but only if everyone takes part in doing so collectively – it won’t be enough for some individuals to do their part if those around them remain complacent about safeguarding against potential infections.

In conclusion, it is clear that although President Biden’s administration has not been able fulfill its promise about containing Covid-19 upon entering office, significant steps still need to be taken in order for us to finally see success against this virus – steps which may include harsher regulations from our government officials as well as individual responsible behavior from each one of us. If we’re all willing to do our part then there’s still hope of beating this pandemic once and for all – now let’s get started!
